What is Tier 3 Weight Management?

Understanding the Importance of Tier 3 Weight Management

We know Tier 3 Weight Management programmes can have a real impact on weight loss and quality of life for someone living with obesity. Not only does it make a difference to how people feel day-to-day, but they have more motivation to continue to live a healthier lifestyle.

Navigating GLP-1s: A Medical Weight Loss Option

Tier 3 Weight Management services often offer a range of options to help people achieve their health goals, including personalised dietary and psychological support, meal replacements like soups and shakes, and GLP-1 weight loss medications. There is no one-size fits all, and personalised care from specialist dietitians means people can adopt the right approach for them.

What is Tier 3 Weight Management?

Tier 3 Weight Management is a 24 -month programme that is all about empowering people to take control of their health. Delivery of the service is centred on a multidisciplinary approach to treating obesity, meaning a number of specialists support participants throughout their journey.

Treatment is focused on diet, physical activity and psychological well being, and where eligible, may involve prescription of a weight loss medication or Total Diet Replacement (TDR).

Often the service will be delivered through face-to-face appointments, which can be a barrier for some people who don’t have time or flexibility to attend.
