Components of the Therapy for Sustainable Weight Reduction
Medical Supervision
Our experienced physicians are responsible for your entire therapy at Ovivamed. Treatment is individually tailored and closely monitored.
Nutritional Counseling
Our certified nutritional counselors support you in developing long-term, practical eating habits suited to everyday life.
Sports Medicine
Physical activity is a fundamental component of your therapy with us. We accompany you on this path to integrate more movement into your everyday life – tailored to your physical condition and goals.
Psychotherapy
Where needed, we support you with psychotherapeutic guidance – for example in cases of emotional eating, lack of motivation, or accompanying psychological strain.
App Support
In the app, you can track your progress and stay closely connected with your care team between appointments. It also offers you medication-specific features, such as tracking side effects.
Therapy Process at Ovivamed
To ensure your patients receive the best possible care, we at Ovivamed design the therapy process to be clear and structured. We combine the benefits of in-person and telemedicine. Important appointments take place in person, while others can be conveniently conducted online. From referral and cost approval through to regular check-ups, we work closely with you as the referring practice. This ensures efficient communication and optimal care – for lasting therapy success.

- Our practice is located on the 1st basement floor. Please first follow the signs to Vista Augenklinik. Once you have reached the 1st basement floor, follow the signs to Ovivamed.
- The tram stop Zürich Bhf. Wollishofen/Staubstr. (T7) is located directly in front of the Ovivamed building. Wollishofen train station (S8, S24) is approximately 5 minutes on foot.
- Please note that no parking spaces are available directly in front of the building. However, parking options are available in the surrounding area.

- From Bern train station: Bus No. 10 toward Köniz-Schliern (departures every 5 minutes / board at platform I). Exit at Hessstrasse stop (5th stop after the train station, approx. 7 minutes travel time).
- At the roundabout, turn right toward the Denner supermarket. Immediately after Denner, turn right, then continue straight ahead to Sprechzimmer+ (approx. 6 minutes on foot).
- Parking spaces with a limited parking duration are available in front of the practice.

- From Basel SBB train station: direct train or S-Bahn to Liestal (several times per hour, approx. 10 to 17 minutes).
- The entrance at the station is located in the UNO building, between the Bahnhof-Apotheke pharmacy and Migrolino. Take the lift to the 3rd floor to reach Ovivamed.
- Parking: enter via the BLKB parking garage (on the opposite side of the street), then proceed to the UNO building parking garage / Bahnhofplatz 11. From there, take the lift to the 3rd floor to reach Ovivamed.

Patient Referral
To enable your patients to access obesity therapy, you can send us the referral easily online, by email, or directly via the medForms form in your practice software.
In addition to patient data (including email address, mobile number, and health insurance/basic insurance), we would appreciate the following information:
Medical History
- What measures have been taken so far for weight reduction?
- Will you cover the self-pay therapy in the event that the basic insurance rejects the cost approval?
- Do you have self-dispensing authorization?
Diagnostics
- Weight, height, BMI (at the time of referral)
- Complete diagnosis list
- Latest laboratory values of the patient (mandatory: lipids / HbA1c) – if these are older than 3 months, we will conduct an on-site laboratory examination.
- Current medication list
Optional
- Vital parameters: heart rate, blood pressure, abdominal circumference
- Allergies/intolerances
- Relevant prior findings (e.g. cardiological, nephrological)
