What sets Oviva apart?

Our clinical leadership and programme design teams develop and refine our evidence-based programmes, with the patient front and centre, resulting in equivalent or better outcomes and greater value (defined as outcomes/cost) than traditional face-to-face services.

Triaging

We ensure everyone gets the right treatment for them based on their needs and preferences. Our digital triage has been developed by our Clinical Lead Psychologist to help identify the most appropriate clinical care for participants, exploring key metrics such as readiness to change, knowledge base and emotional eating risk.

Oviva App

Individuals with a smartphone can access Oviva’s NHS-approved app, to track their food, activity, mood, goals, health metrics and communicate with their coach through secure app messaging. The app has been designed based on behaviour change theory and AI feedback supports patients with their choices.

Oviva Learn

All participants have access to our educational platform, Oviva Learn, to help guide them through the programme. New learning modules and resources are available regularly. Oviva Learn aims to empower participants to engage and facilitate learning about their health to make impactful long term lifestyle changes.

What resources are available for patients who do not want to or are unable to use the Oviva app?

If a participant does not have a smartphone or would prefer not to use one, they can have all appointments via telephone calls. The individual is in control of how they would like to take part and so can participate with the programme in the best way for them. The app is not compulsory and you can complete the full Oviva Diabetes Support programme without using the app if preferred, although we strongly encourage all participants to download the app to have the best possible experience of the programme.
