Oviva is a leading provider of NHS services, combining the support of dietitians, diabetes specialist nurses, health coaches and psychologists with technology to make healthcare more convenient and accessible to all. Oviva combines support from health coaches, weight management specialists, and psychologists, via its NHS Digital-approved smartphone app or telephone consultations.
We have created a series of expert-led evidence-based programmes to help people with health conditions such as type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes or obesity feel healthier and happier.
-
Oviva Adult Nutrition Support is a 12 week programme designed to help adults who need support to increase their nutritional intake.
-
You will receive one-to-one support from your own personal dietitian who will guide you through the programme.
You will have an initial consultation with your dietitian to explain what happens on the programme, decide what you would like to achieve during the following 12 weeks and create a personalised plan together to meet these goals.
You will then follow this plan over the following weeks to achieve meaningful and manageable changes to your diet and lifestyle. During this time you will have three follow up calls with your dietitian, who will ensure you are on track and making progress, and answer any questions you may have.
To help you meet your nutritional goals, your dietitian will share useful written information with you over the app, which you are able to access at any time.
When you have finished the programme, the main task is keeping up your new habits in the long term. Whilst you won’t have appointments with your dietitian anymore, you can continue to use your app to keep track of your food and weight. You will also still have access to any written content so you can revisit anything you need. -
The programme is delivered 100% remotely, giving you flexibility to take part in the programme and speak to your dietitian at a time and location suitable to you. You can have your appointments from the comfort of your own home.
-
You can choose to take part in the programme digitally using our online resources and app, or you can access an offline programme if you don’t have a smartphone or would prefer phone calls. You are in control of how you’d like to take part and so you can interact with your personal dietitian in the best way for you.
-
Download the Oviva app via the Android Google Play Store or the Apple AppStore and login using your personal login details sent to you via email. You can also log in by entering your mobile number and date of birth.
-
We strongly encourage everyone to download the app as it can enhance your experience on the programme. The app is free to download and is approved by NHS Digital. The app is not compulsory and you can complete the full Oviva programme without using the app if you prefer.
-
Oviva’s dietitians are available from 8am-8pm Monday to Friday as well as on Saturdays from 9am-3pm. The time of the appointments are flexible around your schedule.
-
