How we do it: Our method
In order to reach your health goals, Oviva leads you through a stepped approach to behaviour change, delivered through an engaging app, structured content and support from our coaches. Our method is designed to empower you with the tools and knowledge to take actions that improve your health, self-confidence, and quality of life.
1) Understanding and changing your behaviours
The key to losing weight and maintaining a healthy weight is understanding your behaviours and making small, manageable changes to your lifestyle that help you develop healthier habits.
By tracking your food and drinks, daily activities, and symptoms in the Oviva app, you can reflect on your choices and make healthy changes. You’ll also receive instant feedback on the quality and quantity of your meals and snacks in the app, which will help you understand and practice balanced eating.
We will start by suggesting small and actionable goals and later empower you to set and track your own goals – each designed to build habits around what you eat, moving more, and improving your wellbeing. These small steps give you direction and keep you motivated and focused. They’re also designed to evolve with you: you’ll set and adjust your targets based on your progress, and your insights into what works for you.
2) Actionable advice
Many of our participants are already familiar with the theory behind losing weight. We’ll provide you with practical advice for putting that theory into action, as well as tips and strategies in case you get stuck.
Our evidence-based content spans topics on food, movement, and forming new habits, as well as managing stress and sleep. Our in-house psychologists develop advice to help you build a healthier relationship with food, tackle any emotional factors behind your lifestyle choices, and improve your mental health.

3) Support from a caring team
We understand that change can be hard. Our experienced healthcare team of more than 250 coaches are here to guide you and help you navigate challenges – whether you’re just starting out or maintaining new-found habits.
You will have access to a team of experts through the Oviva app, providing timely and helpful chat responses to your questions and challenges.
